Yeah, it's annoying. Though I'm not sure having a key switch would do anything in this instance. My suspicion is the 12v battery has died.

I assume push button start? Obviously if the 12v is dead you're boned, but if it's the fob battery that's dead, you might be able to actually touch it against the start button and have it start. That's how it is in my Mazda, anyway.

I don't think it's the fob battery, as the central locking doesn't work, nor does anything else like the dash lock/unlock button.
