So I was listening to Lane Sainty and Alice Workman"s podcast and apparently Centrelink aren't going to backdate claims any more. So if you put a claim in today and it takes them a month to process it, you don't get paid from today to when they process it. Which begs the question: Do they want Centrelink workers to get bashed?

That’s why some tech billionaires advocate UBI; it would enable them to slash the wages of their workers without worrying that their employees will starve to death or (more importantly) not be able to buy their products and services. I think their issue is that, as you get more automation, there'll be less and less people with money unless something gives like UBI.

If you're sick of podcasts where someone interviews a guest and they just listen to that guest talk without interrupting to go into their life story for half an hour, I can highly recommend Knackers and the Vadge. E: I should point out, though, that I've listened to every episode and will listen to the next one.

Through literally no good policy work they have managed to reduce our greenhouse emissions and meet our targets with seemingly no effort at all, in fact, many would say they appeared to be actively working against such a goal. Even the loving oil states like the UAE are saying we have to cut greenhouse emissions and go to green energy. The LNP just have their heads in the sand for no fathomable reason other than 'owning the libs'.
