Am I missing something with the twitch prime stuff? I linked my amazon and twitch accounts, then linked the twitch account to my epic account and did the “claim rewards” thing. But when I log in on my PS4, nothing doing.

I posted about it around 9 posts up from yours, detailing that I’d already done the thing you screenshotted :v: :awesome: :iamafag: :coal:  :getout: :getin: :smug: :smugdog:

You didn't mention it, but you need to link your PS4 account to your Epic account too.

That said, I know someone who has done all that and it still refuses to give him his Twitch costumes, so I dunno.

I thought I’d done that, but could be confusing it with linking my twitch account to my PS4. I’ll look around to see if this is the link I’m missing tonight. Thanks dude.

Work has been crushing me this week so I haven't played at all, I got a lot of challenges to catch up on.

Like getting a trap elimination, argh, time to just drop tilted like twenty times until I can snatch one

I got mine finally last night dropping shifty. A guy chased me because I had no gun, I threw one up on the ceiling around a corner and kept running, and boom. Trap kill. For a lovely player with 99 total games like me, that was a big deal.

some of the best spots are unnamed locations too. there are a lot of hills that will spawn with 2-3 chests that people just don't think about going to.

I’ve been trying to branch out to improve my game, but my favorite spot is the house’s north of tomato town. Good loot, lots of wood in the area, relatively peaceful.

Truthfully though, Fortnite probably does need to have some sort of skill based matchmaking. It's really loving hard for a newbie to get going on Fortnite, and not too many will keep slogging through it to get good.

Every match has its own skill based matchmaking. It’s built in!

Thanos mode is fun because basically anywhere you drop has good guns and early combat. It’s quick and cool.

I won a 1v1 against a full health Thanos to get a victory last night because the poor guy muscle-memoried jump when he got shot at, locking him in place for me to shred him with a gold SCAR for three seconds.

Then he only clipped me with his ground pound...and did it again. It felt like cheating.

This week challenges seems harder, for whatever reason.

I don't even know why we are doing challenges. Is to unlock some sort of John Wick skin?

If only there were an in game thing that details what the rewards are for progressing your battle pass, what a world that would be!

Haunted, Shifty, and Risky are where almost all my best games/wins have started from

People were using them to get under the map and win by just standing there, not taking storm damage. Makes sense to try to fix it ASAP.

Uhh... what the gently caress is even happening. I am drowning in stupid loot llamas and schematics and weapons but no resources and I can't even figure out how to start a loving game where I SHOOT GOD drat ZOMBIES

I stopped actually playing STW because I’m too dumb to figure out how to craft ammo.

Holding the reload button crafts ammo for your current gun.

Not that you should play STW or that this (or any of the rest of the game) is ever adequately explained

I should say how to find or get more materials to craft that ammo. I ran out of bolts and didn’t want to load a mission just to run around smacking cars or whatever.

RNG giveth as well as taketh away. I landed at the soccer field NW of shifty to pick up a challenge, hoofed it up through pleasant to get leftover greens, and ended up in a 1x1 waiting out the circle on top of the new cart track mountain. Then the next circle. Then the next.

Three stragglers leaking in to my position later and I had my fifth ever solo win. No way I deserved it based on my choices, but the circles just fell to where I had a really advantageous position.

I’m starting to play consistently better, but I realized last night that I run into a situation pretty frequently that I don’t really know how to approach:

-While traveling, I see someone at longish range (too far for me to be accurate with AR)
-The person does not see me, but will if I start rushing

If I potshot the person, I’ll ping them for 30-60 damage depending on how many shots land, and if I snipe, I’ll most likely miss until I get way better at sniping. This says to me that rushing is my best bet.

I’m slowly getting better at ramp-walling, and I’ve finally realized that it’s far better to get height before shooting, but so far, it seems like fights come down to a 50/50 on whether my target is a better builder than me. What I see a lot is this:

-I get a few ramps up and take my first few shots
-they 1x1
-I turn into an idiot and ineffectively knock down a wall or two until they peek down my ramps and I die

I know the solution here is “get good” but I’m not sure on the HOW of that. It seems like the break is not really knowing how to deal with the opponent once they wall up. Any advice would be appreciated.

It's this spot. You want either this tree or the tree south of it, not the one to the right of the marker because that one's foliage won't cover you. The first circle is always guaranteed to include this hill, I've yet to see it not cover it. I normally get 400-500 exp if I let myself get killed by the storm, less than 20 people tend to be alive by then. This is, of course, if the second circle doesn't include the hill. If the second one does, then it's closer to 600-700. I've gotten PLENTY of second places by doing this, which nets me about 900-1000. I've got the 120% booster from the battlepass, mind you.

From level 72 to level 76, I've only gotten killed once, and it was someone who wanted the tree for themselves. Most people won't notice you because people diving there are going for Dusty or Tilted.

Did this for two rounds before bar trivia tonight, got #8 with two kills in one round and #13 in the second round. I can’t play a lot every night, and I’m bad (5 wins in 300 some solo matches), so this is my best bet for getting even to 65 to max out my carbide stuff.

The idea is that you’ll have to move to that location WITH the circle so you can’t just sit in a 1x1 or a bush or whatever.
