I watched the doc a while back and thought it was good. There was no widely overweight guy like in the trailer for the Taika trailer which they seem to be playing for laughs which doesn't bode great but I'll wait and see.

As for Watiti, I liked Wilderpeople and Boy. Heck, I even liked Ragnarok and thought Jojo Rabbit was decent. I think the issue is like people said, he got a bit too much freedom or poo poo got to his head and he just delivered a bunch of poo poo movies. He also relies on the same basic few shticks to stand out and after a few movies that gets old, especially when people already copied that poo poo to other movies too. FYI his Next Goal Wins movie is based on a documentary which I really liked and I'd recommend, which made it all the more disappointing to find out his movie stinks.

I don't usually get like this but the Deadpool films piss me off to no end. I don't usually go on the internet to hate on poo poo and I can't even explain why I hate it so. Ich. Something about the brand of humour, the delivery by Ryan Reynolds, and it being so loving satisfied with itself just doesn't sit right with me. If anyone has a good article / video about why the humour in it sucks, maybe seeing that I'm not alone in this world will quiet my need to shitpost about this all day.
