I googled Larry Correia after reading about him in the RPO thread, and I can’t wait for this thread. This blog (http://www.johndbrown.com/i-spent-7-days-in-a-car-with-larry-correia-international-lord-of-hate-and-lived-to-tell-about-it/) reminds me of all the terrible east Texas relatives I have to see every few major holidays, and I can imagine them writing terrible gunporn fantasy pulp. So Darne is automatically evil, thanks to the vampire template, but clearly this doesn't apply to whatever supernatural monster template is applied to Earl? What the heck is he, because taking on a vampire unarmed and unarmored is only something another monster would do.

I haven’t read the book but followed this thread from the beginning. The final battle reads like Correia finished a multi-session D&D battle that took IRL three days to finish but at the end they realized it was only 60 seconds of combat and after that 60 seconds, major changes happen to all the characters and everyone gets an epilogue.
