Putting a special character in your name makes every game crash. I mean an emoji or other non-ascii character. You can do everything else but the app will crash when a game starts. empiremonkey posted:Thanks, managed to fix this on the server so go crazy with your emoji. Game crashing for me from notification screen and from lock screen. One time the game list only showed the game I was trying to load, not any of the other concurrent games. Also I was just hoist by my BEASTIAL petard (It’s “bestial”?!? That’s dumb)

Only a couple crashes, but I was doing a lot of app switching at the time so I blame that. The only real thing I've noticed so far is that sometimes I'll be typing a word and then suddenly it'll clear itself out, leading to me only having the last part of the word in there. If I'm trying to type fast and it happens, I might send that half word. I don't know what causes it, but it might be fatfingers. On an Android s8 phone. edit: Just won a game with 'ox'. Sorry bunky!

It's kinda bullshit that the Knight battle generates like one vowel for the players turn, but the CPU just happens to get sufficient letters to spell like a seven letter word every time and conveniently has sufficient letters to spell a word to completely cover its castle no matter how much I expose it. Other than that it's a pretty cool concept. Haven't run into any crashes yet on Android, pixel XL.

Testing this on my Galaxy S7 running Android 7.0. No crashes so far, just a lot of "stalls" on singleplayer games after I play a word, example: Usually going to the Home screen and back fixes it. Also some UI bugs:  Continue button is cut off.  King bet takes up two lines.

We didn't like it at first either but the idea grew on us the more we played. Multiplayer word games are particularly hard to profitable unless you cram them full of ads or add a bunch of crazy powerups to the game.

the reason i brought it up is because my job is working with people who have disabilities. i think it's super unethical to have the money making system in a game directly discriminate against people who were born with a disability. a person with dyslexia or with motor control difficulties, for example, who buys IAP in this game will lose money that they spent through no fault of their own, and that's really hosed up
