I've talked about it a bit before elsewhere but theres always a danger evolving from what is mostly a single's authors total control and vision (editorial constants exist and assistants are people too) to an adaption thats being handled by dozens, with all the new failure and stress points that introduces.

A big part of kamuy is that everybody is a bad person of some sort but everybody is treated with respect, care, and often a genuine fondness, even murderers.

It's used to comedic effect but everybody is part of a very wierd and very dysfunctional family.
