Thread, I need help. 2 days ago the mobile web site version of Reddit added a "Show more comments" button at 10 or so post line of every reddit thread. You need to click on it to load the rest of the comments but it's obviously already per-loaded the comments so it's only job is to make the act of reading the comments worse. Beyond the success of making Reddit worse, is there a way to turn the thing off?

Also every time I hear that Reddit is a good porn aggregator all I can think is "isn't most of the internet at this point?" Like come on, it is not hard to find even specific poo poo within seconds on the internet without Reddit, except most elsewhere comes without a poo poo tonne of built in commentary and parasocial weirdness. Porn on Reddit is loving weird because it's either people reposting stuff they're really weird about, or creators making stuff that is very specifically targeting an audience in a parasocial way.

I've been following HydroHomies for about a year. It generally seems to be good vibes and pictures of people's water jugs or refreshing looking glasses of water. I wouldn't even say it's there to remind people to drink water. Just seems like a wholesome but stupid club. Didn't know about the old name, that's loving stupid.

Comstar posted:Thread, I need help. the solution is to never visit reddit on your phone. their mobile site has always been bad, their official app somehow even worse at some point they also killed the least-bad of the three(?!) different versions of their mobile site they were maintaining in an effort to force more people into the app. and of course they killed all the usable third party apps too if you really need to because it was the only result for some google search or something, just tick the "use desktop site" option in your browser. and probably use old.reddit.com too if you're extremely reddit brained and simply can't give it up there is some dumb workaround to still use the old third party apps by registering a dev account and using your personal API key
