I think he's trying to push a message of personal beliefs being more important than identity politics by taking the MAGA hat and saying poo poo people in the alt right wouldn't say, like a condemnation of parents teaching white supremacy (which he did on that freestyle this morning)

I really like the lack of flow on Ye vs. The People. Both of them are still kind of rapping, but it's very difficult to ride the flow like you can with most rap. This paired with the really sparse beat only lets you focus on exactly what each of them are saying.
