wonderful shots

since I only carry a 135mm (and a 50mm which always disappoints), I just can’t take those kinds of shots. and even if I did have an appropriate lens I still couldn’t because I simply cannot take a good photo with a wide lens

but by gum I appreciate all yours

that said you can get special clips and harnesses that make it somewhat less annoying, i use something like this https://www.rei.com/product/132089/peak-design-capture-30-camera-clip

I have one of these and stopped using it because I hosed up my 50mm lens in a scramble

Sagebrush posted:

what specifically bugs you about your phone? do you want it to be better at low light, longer lens, wider lens, faster shutter speed...?

the right camera recommendation depends on what you wanna do with it

I want something purpose built with physical buttons that I can use with gloves on and a little bit more flexibility than ".5x 1x 2x 3x"

my current dslr is an old rebel t1 and it has been entirely needs suiting except i'm tired of lugging it around

thanks! and yes you can, it just takes practice like everything else. those were all around 18mm iirc

Had a trip back to Hareshaw Linn last Sunday, been five years since I was there.

Didn't take the big camera this time, but did take a friend which meant I could get a photo for once.

some form of mirrorless is the answer. if you want to stay with canon then maybe look at the r8. if you want to go really compact you could check out some micro four thirds cameras
