I'm about to get on a 14 hour flight to Tokyo. Gonna play some Darkest Dungeon. I'm sort of wishing I'd gotten Tropical Freeze for the flight too but I'm finding it hard to spend $60 on a several year old platformer...

I broke down and bought Tropical Freeze and I'm glad I did because it's really good. I have another few days in Tokyo but have pretty much done the stuff I want to do, so I've been playing it a lot. Diddy Kong is a trash sidekick, Dixie is my friend. I didn't play the DKC games, but am I crazy in thinking Donkey Kong games are generally known as being on the tougher side? Because Tropical Freeze is pretty darn easy (but still really fun and pretty)

Finished Detroit. While most of the storyline was pretty dumb, it's probably the most well realized version of that type of branching-story game that's been done yet. Seems like there's a ton of variety to how things could play out, and decisions feel more weighty than parlor magic style of telltale games. Worth checking out, just don't expect much out of the plot.
