I have been meaning to pick up more comic to prose authors for a while. I got King's A once crowded sky which was okay but definitely would have worked better as a comic than a novel. Been meaning to pick up some Rucka novels.

I'm currently on vacation and loaded about 10 graphic novels on my nexus 10 and I find the quality perfect really. 10 inch is the way to go as it still feels page sized and no bulky to hold. That's my advertisement for the day

Re: Lurdiak: sorry to hear that mate. That truly sucks. Re: signings: at emerald city this year Alred was there and there was a considerable line and dine jerk brought every single thing Alred had ever dine to get signed. Alred was very nice and did that and chatted to the guy with a big grin but it was pissing of everyone waiting in the line, especially those who only had a few things to sign. People in the line have the jerk a Bronx cheer when he got all his things signed and left. That one signing took nearly 45 minutes. Claremont was charging 5 dollars per book but I think the money went to the hero initiative charity and it was a good way to stop people from asking him to sign every single comic he has ever done. Most creators usually give a hard cap like first 5 items are free but after that its a dollar per sig which I am okay with.

I wish I had cool conversations with comic creators. I did talk MLS with Rucka once I guess. With regards to Bendis he did a signing at ECCC this year in a big signing room and I think there was supposed to be a 5 item limit but BMB announced loudly that he would sign everything. His handlers weren't too happy about that (and yes it looked like someone brought every issue of Ultimate Spiderman)

About 90% merch, about 5% creators (including panels, signing etc) about 2% beer related incidents and about 3% filled with people who came just to look at the cool costumes
