I have been informed that my program needs to spend a few thousand dollars in office supplies and what not by sort of the end of the day. Please give me ideas on what you would like to have in your work space if you had money to spend like I do. Dollar dollar bills you all. One caveat - I am unable to spend money on weed or weed paraphernalia. My apologies. |

do you have a stapler? if you're not familiar, it's really useful for attaching pieces of paper together, a little like a paper clip but more permanent. the downside is you also have to by staples, and they get used up - that's how they get you. |

okay realpost. I've never understood why so many employers chintz out on coffee. it's a morale booster, it energizes during lull periods of the day, and it helps people power through crunch times. I once worked in a place where the ceo sprung for ridiculously expensive italian espresso machines on every floor where developers worked, that's maybe a bit over the top but people really responded to it. I also worked in a place where management sprung for what seemed like pretty expensive automated systems that made coffee in individual pouches. the problem was, the coffee itself in those pouches sucked. so it was barely better than the generic office crap that sits for hours on the hot plate and tastes mostly like burning tires. so my suggestion is if you've got money to burn and want to sort of reward/energize employees, think about upgrading your coffee game. with a focus specifically on the coffee itself, something that isn't poo poo. maybe some thermal carafes to keep it warm rather than sitting on a hot plate.

i already have a burr coffee grinder, electric kettle, and french press on the acquisition list along with a few pounds of beans so i agree with you good call on the carafe though so i added it! |
