real idea: hire an ergonomics/disability services person to come in and give everyone good working adjustments and accommodations at their desks. it costs money, but it's indispensable for a lot of us to make working actually comfortable.

When an outsider comes to your department, tell them you all sit on these balls* and the staff will feel quite demeaned if he takes a chair because then he will be taller than them.
