Sigma has spent the majority of his life with the knowledge that one day, the entire future of the world would hinge on what he did in this facility. This is what happens when we let him follow his instincts.

To be perfectly fair, who could have expected a 'blow up the ENTIRE facility' button? Besides, I imagine that having access to the morphogenetic field might make you more blasé about the risk of death after a while.

UPDATE 03-E.1: DON'T PRESS Previously on Zero Time Dilemma, we made like Dee Dee and got the whole facility blowed up like champs. How about we rewind and pretend that didn't happen? To not push it, all we gotta do is wait until the timer runs out. Seriously. What kind of moron presses a button that says "DO NOT PRESS" on it, anyway? Not us, that's for sure! [ VIDEO: DON'T PRESS, PART 1 ] It opened... [ MUSIC: "CLARIFICATION 2ND MIX" ] It opened because we didn't touch the button? It's the only thing that makes sense. The door might have opened if we had pushed it anyway. We don't know. Um, anyway, we should go. Heckspawn fucked around with this message at 18:01 on Jun 1, 2018 |

Sigma wants to push this drat button.

Just as everyone turns to leave, Sigma spins around and windmill slams down the button anyways. This is how every timeline ends.

He's right, the door was no longer closed after pushing it.

I still maintain that this is probably one of (if not THE best) timelines. Antimatter the whole site, it's the only way to be sure.

Yeah, when a timer is involved not acting is a decision. This isn't always going to do something relevant but it's worth keeping in mind anyways. My first time through I didn't really think about this for a chunk of the game since I didn't get around to this particular button until much later.

UPDATE 03-E.2: [CONT.] DON'T PRESS [ VIDEO: DON'T PRESS, PART 2 ] [ MUSIC: "TRANSIENT TRANQUILITY" ] Sixty-seven?! You remember, right? I told you my consciousness came from 2074... The details are a little more...complex than that. But that's more or less correct. Yes, it's the same. She came back from the year 2074 too. With one difference: Her mind's still young. She must still be around 20 years old...? She was born in 2008. From April 2029 to January 2074, she's been asleep inside of a pod. A what? A device that is capable of placing someone into cold sleep. So that's why she still thinks like a 20 year old... But...how? How what? How is it possible for you and Phi to come back to this time? SHIFT? It's short for "Spacetime Human Internal Fluctuating Transfer." Essentially, it's when a human consciousness is sent through time and space. For example... Ah yes, we can use the button from earlier. However, there's a world where we did push it somewhere in this timespace. There are other yous, other mes, and other Phis. She has been petting that dog for a long time. SHIFT is the phenomenon which allows us to send our consciousnesses to them. It's the truth. Still, if you don't explain to me how it does whatever it does... So you want to know what it is exactly... I'll sum it up in one sentence. [ MUSIC: "EXTREME EXTRICATION (2ND MIX)" ] Did that come across as if I didn't care? This is the conclusion I reached after 45 years of consideration. I know how SHIFT works. But as to why the phenomenon happens-- Did you just say you know how SHIFT works? Yeah... How does it then? Innate abilities, and danger to one's life. Basically, when a person with this ability faces a life-threatening crisis, that's when SHIFT kicks in. And...both you and Phi have this strange ability? A lot of odd, inexplicable things happened to me when I was a kid. I woke up under the blankets on my bed... It was the next day. When I saw my friends at school, I asked them, "What happened yesterday?" One of them spoke up and said, "You blew us off. You promised to come fishing, but you up and cancelled on us." I was about to get run over by a car once, and found myself in the school gym. I fell off the roof only to wake up on the school bus. Things like that. Of course, at the time I had no idea what was going on. I just believed they were extremely vivid dreams. But now I know. I... To another world. In another history... [ MUSIC: "GLACIAL SOLITUDE" ] I saw her over with Gab just a minute ago...
