Been re-reading the series and another thing I'd forgotten was the original gimmick of all the main demon hunters having a specific sense tied to their fighting style. (scent, touch, hearing). I wonder what the decision was to downplay if not outright remove this idea. It's not bad or good, just interesting that it's gone now for the most part.

I don't think it's gone at all. Tanjirou's constantly been using his sense of smell to find Hantengu. Genya's consumption of demons can be sorta tied to a sense of taste? The other three with extraordinary senses (Zenitsu's hearing, Innosuke's touch, and Kanao's sight) aren't here right now. Like, it might not be as prominent, but it's still there.

Did Tanjiro just use Zenitsu's breath? If so, then his breath isn't the breath of the sun (as in fire), but kinda like ... a god breath capable of using all breaths? And Zenitsu is a good sleepy boy, glad he's so popular he jumped comics temporarily. Also lol they even got the author to draw the portrait. (Or is that just a pulled image?) Oh, also re: the sword. Wasn't it broken, and he was just using a temp while it was being repaired? Now this is the one from the robot, though unfinished?

It'd be kinda cool if just being a demon isn't what gets you destroyed by the sun, but rather just what you DO as a demon. I.e. if you're evil/eat human flesh the sun annihilates you, but if you don't it doesn't do that.

up til now it seemed like nezuko was getting deeper and deeper into being a demon. she's transformed, acquired unique abilities and fallen to berserker rages. her less than demonic lifestyle seemed like it could only delay the process. i'm really not sure what's going on here.

I'm curious why Tamayo thought that Nezuko would be able to walk in the sun at all. Yeah Nezuko has previously proven to be different, but still demonic. What changes in her blood did Tamayo see to make her think that? Also mildly disappointed that Nezuko has upgraded from not talking to baby talk. Was kinda hoping there wouldn't be any catch and she'd just be able to talk again. Instead it's a case of moving the goal posts.

Yeah, from how it sounds, she probably could have recovered more mentally by now, but prioritized suppressing her bloodlust + being strong enough to protect Tanjirou when he needs it (which is pretty often) over recovering mentally.
