Both Reloaded and Revolutions are the Wachowskis getting high off their own farts after philosophy professors fell in love with The Matrix. They're packed full of artificial "philosophy" and a whole bunch of style over about an ounce of substance.

Style is substance big homie.

Gringo, the new one with David Oyelowo, is a pretty bad movie. But, in the lead up to the climax, Charlize Theron's 'sleeping her way to the top' character is in a bar with some minor character, and talks him into getting his dick out. It's a strange scene in and of itself, but given its placement, it's even fuckin' weirder.

The Counselor is made of this poo poo - there's a scene where Cameron Diaz LITERALLY fucks a car, and another where an adult character is killed and we immediately cut to his mother, hundreds of miles away, in her prison cell and she suddenly starts sobbing and weeping

Yeah, the Counselor is a deliberately weird mix of metaphorical and literal plot elements though.

gently caress it's good.

They made a sequel to Saturday Night Fever that basically was the surface level dance movie that everyone remembers the original as. So I think the two films kinda get mashed together in people's minds because they don't remember that the sequel exists.

Sylvester Stallone directed it, which is pretty WTF in its own right.

Stallone seems to have initially wanted to become like a writer/director who sometimes acts like a John Cassavetes or something. But then he became a huge action star, started getting into roids, and well, the rest is history.

To be fair, roids are pretty awesome, apparently.

Remember that steroids documentary Bigger, Stronger, Faster* and how its closing argument was trying to equate people who take medication to help with anxiety or ADHD to athletes using performance-enhancing drugs? That was a pretty WTF moment in movies.

Only if you didn't watch the documentary and instead had it described to you by someone who also hadn't seen it
