EU Parliament approves ban of products made with forced labourReuters posted:BRUSSELS, April 23 (Reuters) - The European Parliament approved rules on Tuesday to ban in the EU the sale, import and export of goods made using forced labour. Ok some weird moves to escalate a trade war with China. Even on Reddit, replies were asking how this will impact chocolate and US prison labor.

The Bugalho thing is hilarious. OH, a guy who only did talking head poo poo on tv wants to become an EU MP? Time to have the press tell me he's the new Salgueiro Maia by people who do the Bari Weiss\Shai nonsense of constantly trying to get fired but can't because of our strong labor laws.

So one of the poorest regions of China has been turned into the global supplier of a critical resource in the absolutely necessary energy transition? Seems like that'd bring a lot of prosperity to the region. That's genocide right? You can't just uplift people out of poverty.

The issue is with liberal democracy as usual - If all established parties have essentially the same ideology and socialist ideas are repressed by state and media who else is left to vote for

Mostly what's happening is the coalition government losing support. And the Left split, so what does that leave you with? if you look in Austria you have a party called Beer polling at 5%. Democracy isn't doing so hot.

The big rug pull of the last years not only have revealed centrist parties as cutouts for DC, but clearly there has been a declining quality of life in much of Europe without much of an outlet. This has predictably lead to the further growth of the far-right, various leftist(ish) populist parties, and various joke/single issue parties. Not only has the FPO and the Bier party, but also the KPO as well. The Netherland is only going more far-right as well ditto for France and Le Pen etc. The blame is naturally on Putin/Russians but clearly the lack of any alternatives is fueling it.
