I'm curious about this because I don't understand computers or internet systems or anything, but like, would a truly high-fidelity thing with like the gameplay and latency of, say, a contemporary COD actually be viable with like 500+ people on screen? an actual MMOFPS of the WWIIonline variety but with actual battles is one of my most perennial nerd fantasies but I always thought it was basically inconceivable
