Back to that suitcase Dell Laptop that was brought up recently. I distinctly remember Linus did a look at one they bought off ebay a few years ago. He went over just how it was not a laptop, and even covered the modules for it, as they weren't able to get a hold of the TV tuner or remote. I do recall though that it wasn't a DVD player, but a Blu-Ray one. Maybe the one they got was a later model? They also opened it up, but decided to keep the experience as it was for the time, rather than put an SSD in it. I want to say it might have had a desktop socket on it too, though that meant what, a quad-core was the best one could do at the time? It was definitely a neat "this is what we CAN do" thing from Dell, which they haven't been a stranger to in the past. But the price at the time, and that it wasn't all that portable (I want to say it weighed close to 30 pounds?) sealed it's own fate. As to d-brand, given how they advertised on LTT, that attitude coming out of them is no surprise. I'd be more surprised if there is any punishment over it at all.
