Welcome again in another Hublot Forum of Friendship match day thread, this time for day three of the FIFA World Cup 2018. After the exciting closing match of the previous match day, we can only hope that at least one of the three games on this match day will be as fun as Portugal vs Spain. These are the matches, four this time: France vs Australia, 12:00 CET, 11 a.m. BST, 6 a.m. EST, Kazan Argentina vs Iceland, 15:00 CET, 2 p.m. BST, 9 a.m. EST, Moscow Peru vs Denmark, 18:00 CET, 5 p.m. BST, 12 p.m. EST, Saransk Croatia vs Nigeria, 21:00 CET, 8 p.m. BST, 3 p.m. EST, Kaliningrad  First up, Group C with Les Bleus against the Socceroos. France are a contender for winning the World Cup, while Australia generally don't manage to get out of their group. In fact, they lost every group stage game in 2014. So the French will be heavy favorites, but perhaps they will melt down over stupid bullshit like they did before, giving the Australians a chance.  Next, in Group D we have another title contender, Messis's Argentina, against one of the biggest underdogs in the World Cup, Iceland. Brave Icelanders beating England in the knockout stage of the Euro 2016 will never not be funny. Iceland fans introduced their viking clap into international tournaments, after stealing it from some English club or something. Argentina are the clear favorites, but plucky little Iceland have actually won their qualifying group, so they are good for a surprise.  The second match in Group C is between Peru and Denmark. I admit, I'm not too familiar with both teams. The Peruvian captain was initially banned from the tournament after being tested positive for cocaine. He claims he accidentally ingested it in his tea or something. FIFA didn't believe him and banned him, but a Swiss court suspended his ban for the World Cup. And while Peru can count on their captain, Denmark unfortunately won't have Lord Bendtner to help them due to injury. The bookies see both teams pretty evenly matched.  The last match will be in Group D with Croatia vs Nigeria. Croatia are the favorites, they are capable of pretty good showings, even though they tend to fail later in the knockout stages. I don't know much about the Nigerian team, except that they have a bitching kit. I'm assuming France wins all their group stage games and Australia lose all theirs. Therefore, the Peru - Denmark effectively decides which of the two sides go through. They know this, and will probably scrape to a boring 0-0, and hope to outscore the other against Australia in order to go through on goal difference. God I hope I'm wrong.
