Guys, I've built a dual cannon & mine dropping TOS constitution for elite STFs.

I've got a minor problem in the boff seating, though: I've got Fire at Will (because captain kirk says it a lot, so it must be good), Overload Integrity Field (because an integrity field sounds like the sort of thing you want running at maximum power), Boarding Party (because kirk used it to escape from the romulans in star trek III: Turns Out Nimoy's Got A Gambling Problem) and finally Structural Analysis (because it sounds like the sort of thing my favourite character, Isis the cat, would say). How do I unlock the "stare gormlessly at a chroma screen for 45 minutes" skill?

Anyway, I'm constantly getting tagged with crappy team mates, so we keep missing the optional objectives, and the primary can take up to 20 minutes some days. Worse, they're all super toxic and say things like "You're trolling" "Why are you throwing this STF" and "Why are you launching shuttles against the gateway"?

How do I avoid such bad team-mates? Is it in the wiki?

Finally, since Cryptic is not very good at responding to my tickets raised about the matter, is there any other way that I can get Isis the Cat added to the memorial of dead star trek people?

https://wiki.wesleyguide.com/skillz_4_goonz should mostly still be accurate.

That boff layout is super ancient but the concepts are still the same. Chain two emergency powers and two attack patterns; add in appropriate weapon buffs and some heals.

Still the best tanking guide ever and remains 100% accurate.

I think so*. There is a list of ships you can't use in the patch notes from May and I don't see it in there.

Start every queue with EEH with "Hello, I am your Emergency Entertainment Hologram. I exist to ensure that you have a full team to help complete difficult missions like this one".

Then spend the whole match doing retarded bot stuff. With luck, pubbies will start to fret that the game is clearly dying because Cryptic have had to pad out the playercount with bots to get instances to fire.

I don't have any of the flagships, but my Romulan was able to grab the Fed Tactical Command Battlecruiser, so the Odyssey should be fine.

Great thread for a great expansion.

All zstore ships, including the Odyssey, can be used by Romulans and Dominion. It's just a specific set of lockbox ships that are still faction exclusive.

Something's gonna have to happen concerning Mark eventually. Mark 10 is what they give you by default/buyable, you can craft up to Mark 12(Or upgrade), but the limit is 15, and going beyond 12 is still very expensive.

I don't get what is 'wanted' at this point.

The whole point of the crafting/upgrade system is to make people with no self control throw money at a (not) problem and buy a pile of R&D packs. So no, nothing is likely to happen to make it easier to grind up gear from drops alone.

They 'want' to drain dil/ec from people who have been playing forever and have built up a surplus of both. Of course this makes things very hard for new players. It's basically the same problem they have with balancing end-game content. You can't balance content for players that do 100k DPS when most of the playerbase is barely doing 10k DPS. Similarly, you can't balance gear costs for people with millions of dil while still making it work for newer players who barely have a few thousand.

we're all mad here

Is there any reason not to use assault weapons for ground combat? From the tooltip, it seems like they do tons more damage.

Heh, the mouseover for the Survivalist build is "You are not a tank".

Yes, you can also re-eng them with actual good mods as well. If you have the dil to max them out they own now.

Most guns actually do their listed damage a couple of times per cycle (denoted by an "X amount of damage x2" or whatever number) whereas assaults and pulsewaves only do one big hit. They still generally lead the pack in terms of DPS, but not by the margin the tooltip would have you believe. The other weapon types can also recycle faster, and are generally better for procs and things like that.

I've made doing the Hurq Swarm queue a bit more tolerable after I loaded up one of my sciboats with lots of PBAoE/push/pull effect powers & weps. Spread 3 Gravimetric Torps + gravwell 3, toss in TBR, Photonic shockwave, Timeline stabilizer, the new PBAoE Engy Steal Energy power, some AoE shotgun beam attack from a set bonus, spice liberally with 300+ PartiGens = turning Hurq swarmers into space roadkill splattered all over my viewscreen :killdozer: . Also, someone finally noticed I named my Nebula the USS Blackhole Sun.

Just the z-store ones, though if you really want to you can shell out dil at the ship vendor for any of the fed leveling ships.

The pizza cutter is the best ship to have because if you transport up to a heavily occupied DS9 or ESD space instance in it, you can sometimes fire players a couple of klicks out of position when your hitbox spawns.

New ship acquisition trip report: the tactical variant of the allied pilot escort, in my case the lethean version, is a very solid escort. I've never flown a ship with pilot seating, so that was an interesting experience. Not to my taste, I prefer a slow cruiser, but you can goddamn tap dance with these fuckers and with five tac consoles, a comm tac/pilot seat, a ltcom tac seat, and a ltcom universal (I used it for science to throw a gravity well into the mix because why not when you're this maneuverable), it's a very solid ship. Does have some glitchy visual effects if you run beam arrays on it, though - understandably for a ship with five fore guns, I don't think Cryptic was expecting people to run arrays on these.

The lethean ships are also very unique looking, so there's that, too.

I just grabbed it for the Promise of Ferocity trait (Klingon version for maximum alt availability since my main's a klankrom), but if you like escorts this looks to be a really good one.

I genuinely think there's no point flying escorts that aren't pilot ships, the maneuvers just make it so much funner. They're what escorts always should've had.
