Completing the new featured episode is part of the gamma recruit rewards. You may recall there were only 39 tasks visible but shown as being out of 40... mystery solved.

I'm thinking about throwing 20 bux at the game, make it my game for the month. What's something good with those zen coins? I'm kind of tempted to go with duty officer capicty because I seem to have a lot of those, but that's not really fun. Anything "must have?"

Assuming you're on PC: https://sto.gamepedia.com/Elite_Starter_Pack is a very good purchase if you plan on playing more than one character. It basically replaced the monthly subscription.

I should probably get around to actually joining Dental then. I'm still in a gay dead fleet that we put together in IRC years and years ago :v:

Sounds like it would make a fine addition to the armada!

While we're on the topic of cryptic logic, why do level 65 enemies still drop mark 12 loot?

This event will also debut a brand new system for Star Trek Online. Earn progress toward a Free Ship by participating each day in the Featured TFO Events that will be running from now until Fall of 2019. By playing these three Events, you can earn Coupon Progress Tokens each day, allowing you to eventually claim a '100% Discount Coupon: Tier 6 Ship' that will allow you claim a free Tier 6 Starship of your choice from the Zen Store.

When you play the 'Operation Riposte' Featured TFO Event, once per day, you will receive 50 Coupon Progress Tokens. Progress will be rewarded across your entire account, so you need only participate once per day to max out your potential progress. Keep an eye out for Featured Event Coupon Bonus Days, which will double any progress that you earn while they are active! After you've earned a total of 3000 Coupon Progress Tokens, head to the Reputation menu to claim your prize.

Is it official that old events will no longer be finish-able by continuing to play a current event past it's reward?

Hope that makes sense. From that blog it sounds like all the past events I still have queued will only be completed by paying Zen, which is just :jerkbag:

This was partly answered in the dev twitch stream, according to the notes on reddit:

"They hadn't decided yet what they'll do with the already slotted projects."
"You likely would be able to finish your started progress in next runs of relevant seasonal events (summer, winter, anniversary)."

I still don't fully understand what a critical admiralty mission will affect, loot-wise.

Is it everything in the normal mission rewards area?

What about rewards from the RNG mission event?

Is the effect that affected loot is doubled?

Are crits the only way to earn pass tokens once you've reached rank 10 in the faction? (pretty sure reaching ranks along the way gave pass tokens)

"While I get that you meant no harm in choosing the names biacula, blacula, blaculafiesta, blaculamm, blacuia, and blaqula, other players may find the names offensive so it would be best not to utilize these names again."

What a lovely boilerplate response.

Blacula is an inappropriate name because in the 70s black people paid money to watch a movie with a black main character, a capitalist scheme to extract money from a new source of revenue. Ticket Solved.
