I'm psyched to see Shadow Hearts on the docket so soon after Koudelka. Though man are those cutscene graphics out of place for a PS2 game - they're not that much better than Koudelka had on PS1.

How is the Hapsburg jaw relevant again in the three centuries after the War of the Spanish Succession?

Cosmic Star Heroine did it right when they made items usable once per battle.
Cosmic Star Heroine does a lot of things that turn-based RPGs could stand to pay attention to, frankly. Everything is balanced on a per-encounter basis, if not shorter, so if you feel like making that alpha strike you totally can. And yet the ability and hyper systems usually keep you from constantly spamming the same thing over and over, so you're constantly playing around with the momentum of combat in the way that FF13 wanted to do before kinda falling flat.

Guess he ain't enough of a Donkey Kong to dunk someone with the fuckin' moon, so he just uses the replica from the gift shop.
I think that Hyper Princess Pitch is the most absurd instance of dunking someone with an astral object. At the end she piledrives Mecha Santa into the moon, then piledrives that into the earth, that into the sun, and finally the sun into the Milky Way's core.
