I've been having good success with Bowser in simple mode, mostly just getting a bearing for how the game works at its basics. At some point I'd like to make the jump to standard though! It seems like a lot of characters are balanced around their trick shots.

I find with standard that there's always just one too many things I need to pay attention to at one time, whereas with simple mode it's just really fun, good tennis. Both are fine modes but I think I just need more practice with standard.

Yeah standard mode is better but it's harder to pitcg to people if they've not played/bought the game themselves. Trying to explain how to use the power meter is weirdly difficult

First tournament back after not playing for months and won the tournament. I forgot how fun this game is. It's definitely a fighting game in all but name. Looks like a lot of things have changed though. How do you get costumes? Is it just participating a lot or can you only get the one costume listed? Also what's the current meta/tier list? Last time I played Bowser Jr. was still a menace.

They’re usually monthly tournament rewards if you get a certain amount of points in a month. I’m sure they’ll recycle the ones for months you missed or offer other ways to get them.

Yeah I was maining Pauline until I saw this list, and while I still play her sometime, I switched to Peach since she's fairly similar to Pauline but I feel way more devastating with her. Peach is great.
