Is there any particular reason to be killing enemies most of the time in Breath of the Wild?

It seems like I'm not really getting anything other than weapon drops from fighting them...which costs me weapon durability to get anyways.

Maybe its because as a Red Mage he'll just never be able to reach the same heights as a White Mage or Black Mage not because he doesn't choose to, but because its just mystically impossible at his age now to change jobs into a career that's a better long term investment.

I've been going through them over the past six or so month myself, watching one every few weeks. Octopussy is the next one I have to watch.

From Russia With Love or Spy Who Loved Me is the best so far IMO, with Goldfinger in a strong third place.

I remember in You Only Live Twice (which has the best Bond song btw), Bond goes to Japan. He goes to a sauna with his Japanese liaison, who says, “In Japan, men come first, and women second.”

Yeah they're schlocky as hell. That movie also has the bizarre plotline of Bond having to disguise himself as an Asian man.

Also the script was written by Roald Dahl of all people, wtf.

I kind of liked The Man With the Golden Gun but its a shame Christopher Lee couldn't have been used in a better Bond film.

As far as "fake Bond movies" go there's also the 1954 Casino Royale which was a made for TV movie where Stuart Ullman from The Shining plays an American Bond and Peter Lorre is the villain, and also the 1967 Casino Royale which was a parody movie.

I'm watching a movie called Blow-Up. Its about a guy who buys an old airplane propeller from an antique shop. In his ennui he also accidentally photographs a murder and tries to solve it. But its mostly about him buying that propeller. It's pretty good.

Gonna go back to playing Breath of the Wild tonight too. I have some frustrations with it (Namely the weather and temperature stuff which really doesn't seem to add a whole lot to the game) but I'm enjoying it.

I think it would be okay if I could at least guarantee Link's stealth OHKO to work, but half the time even when the drat prompt is on the screen he just does a regular attack for reasons I don't understand...and when that happens, three to five overpowered enemies get aggroed and I can't escape and welp.

Huh, somehow I never realized that kills didn't penalize your ranking in MGSV. That seems appropriate, given the intended themes.

How many dudes do you have to kill to get the "demon" penalties?
Yeah its a nice contrast to the earlier games which are a lot about resisting the temptations of violence, whereas in MGSV Venom Snake just literally doesn't give any fucks about killing people anymore and his gameplay options and scoring reflect that.

The more I think about it the more I think Breath of the Wild is basically just Spider-Man 2: The Movie: The Game for a new generation except not as good.

Like the general world traversal is the best part of both games (Climbing/gliding and web-swinging), and the rest of them are mostly just okay. Spider-Man 2 is a funnier game though so I think it edges out the win here.
