To be...fair? to Zenescope? none of those books are Zenescope books. Belladonna, Jungle Fantasy, and Webwitch are all Boundless Comics (the main perpetrators of the innumerable nude variants), Crossed is Avatar, and Danger Doll Squad is Action Lab's Danger Zone (i.e. "adult" comics) imprint, which also goes buckwild with nude and nude-adjacent variants. That said, Zenescope definitely caters to a similar market, and the one single issue Zenescope book that shipped this past week had four different covers (none of which were nude though).

No idea what $7 extra you'd get from the 'bottomless' to full 'nude' variants for issue #5. Maybe they add a mirror to see her front.

I suppose theres an argument to be made for charging a bit more to cover the cost of paying for the extra people who work on the cover and printing the extra issues, but in this case since its just straight bilking people who are stupid enough to buy these when porn is literally free already you might as well jack up the price as high as they're willing to pay

No. But he had CgCed so many of them. And he had sketch covers from Marvel that zeno artists had done and he had those CgCed as well. It was all worthless crap and I offered him our bullshit rate of a dime a book because it would have all gone into the $1 bins had it not been porny as gently caress. He kicked the counter, flipped a monitor onto the floor and had a complete meltdown in the middle of the store before security and then the police arrived. He was arrested and his stupid garbage sat in the back room for weeks before his brother came to get it.

It's been years but I remember flipping through a couple Zenoscope books and being surprised that outside of the covers the art wasn't particularly erotic or titillating. Women were drawn pretty cheesecakey but I've seen worse from any of the other publishers without even having to get into Land or Balent territory. If anything my impression was that the books were for True Suckers who get taken in by the promise of boobies on the cover only to find a bland, dull comic waiting inside. But maybe that month was just setup and the cable got fixed in the next issue.

When I was younger, i bought 1 issue of a zombie book that zenescope or one of sleezier comic publishers put out because the cover was cool. I was unpleasently surprised to learn the book was just nude teen girls being torn apart by zombies and not what the cover advertised.

Ugh. My dad's brain damage is worse than I feared. He's actually mostly lost the ability to read. He's on a waiting list for a more in-depth scan but due to the loving CONSERVATIVES slashing the health care system for the last 25 years, the waiting list on such procedures is several months long and the private alternative is thousands of dollars. I went to a con last weekend and Phil Noto was there. He did a talk/workshop where people just asked him questions as he drew Laura. Someone corrected him on Laura having only two claws on her arms because he was drawing three, and he joked "you're right, or did I just give something away??" Pretty chill guy. I didn't know he worked for Disney and it got so bad he burned out and missed the one deadline in his career.
