I picked this up over the Christmas sale. Plugged in the Nookrium current Vanilla plus constellation of mods. I've been on youtube before so I figured I knew what was up. I did not, but that's ok. It's day 27 and I have not picked one fight yet. I've deftly turned one feeble man from terrified iron minor barely able to fill a single makeshift backpack, into a 5 man mining and logistics squad. I've revitalized the Hub with my research shack across from the Bar. The traphouse next door has been restored to be a building with boxes. I've also made a positive impact on Squinn by injecting the local economy with as many iron plates as I could pump out before my first bandit warning. Yes I know it's a loss when I factor in the cost of the building materials I bought to make the furnace. It still generated value while I sat in my apartment reading books, so I sent my dudes to do it. I also bought the Shinobi Gym Membership and I get why people don't. It's kinda a chunk of change for something that doesn't really help. But it has been a nice crutch as a thing to assign my dudes when I don't know what to do with them. Thank you for listening to my ted talk. My two recruits have like 60 farming so this is all culminating in a disruption in Shark where I'm gonna harvest all their food and take it to Hub to process.

So can I not repair a house until I research the house type. Wanted to expand Shinobi Dojo with the L House next door and my dudes just won't start the repair. No materials required in the lil pane just the private/public button.

Gonna bite that 10k investment of buying a house inside of a house and the house it was inside of. There are many other hosed up houses in Hub. Later on gonna try and import do the big NPC import to refresh the Hub guards. Hopefully that fixes it, because doing a search on how console commands work in this game is black magic I am not prepared to learn.

Settling in cities really cuts your "base time" down by a whole lot. 30 hours into a save and I've only got half of Hub rebuilt, it is daunting how many materials it is requiring. Materials you can't make. Don't combine no base with no pack beast otherwise you'll be stacking backpacks just to carry enough food home.

Mourn is like Hub, a fixer-upper with a lot of space. The trio of actual cities you have access to in Catun, Springs and Flats are better than hub's Stack/Squinn. I've been buying water at a store. Sometimes I get Mia and Jeonghyo, two somewhat consistant cheap recruits that come with farming, and send them on over to Stack or Bad Teeth. In those towns there's a ruined house with a farm plot out front that you can just buy. And Jeonghyo is greenlander, so he and Mia can play Orkran Gothic and be in charge of making all the greenfruit I need for life.

There's also a mod that changes the trade goods percentage tolerances that makes trade good.

Hello, I save scum. Not everything, but everything that is bullshit. The line for bullshit for every player is different. This is a bullshit game filled with bullshit. I love it tho Mostly I save extremely often just to type out what the gently caress I am trying to do. Because a fight could be a 5 minute distraction or it could result in something that takes up the whole 3 he session. Just notes like "inventory management complete", "Don't bring Kanta to god country" or "the drugs are in the knapsacks", "venge 1" "venge2" and "venge3"

Kenshi is pretty fun without too many mods aside from quality of life stuff to enable the way you want to play I jumped right into Kaizo. Never though of an indoor construction mod. Could be the thing that finishes my Hub Reconstruction Project.

I had enough food cubes to sell with them. Got tired of the food commute and forgetting who's cool to go to godlands and who has cyber legs.

On my way back to Los Angeles. I stopped by this high desert shrine on exit 221 on the I15. I'm outside of the socal are so I have to type the uppercase i.  There's such incredible Kenshi energy in the Mojave. Models the feel better than FALLOUT NV. The wind really whips like that soundtrack.

Upon reviewing the respective options I can see that Genesis has that central authority modder nightmare personality that can wrangle all this nonsense into a one sub button experience. But the Blood and Sand collection is like 300 buttons, which is cool because there is a select all button, and like 9 of these mods are just compatibility patches omg lmao this is insanity, but my rimworld brain is ready. Fuckin rofl at least 4 of these mods are boobie mods hahaha

So I went into the fog islands last night for the first time. Real peaceful route into Mongrel, walked past some death poles and smashed a straggler pack of scrubs. In mongrel and I found out my overcomplicated constellation of mods didn't jack up the medicine prices or any of the trade goods I got going on. So now I have about two pack bulls of stuff, my main day 30 squad, and the recruits and decided to poke out into the death yards the shinobi was scrapping in. There's a lot. A lot of fog folks. They haven't stopped yet. The heads are heavy, but if I don't loot them these psychos get back up and munch on more shinobi. So my max speed is gonna be 16mph walking out and I'm kinda feeling the worry. I get why this place is scary and I want out.

Nah, I'm doing the other one, Age of Blood and Sand. My biggest friction with the big mod pack is the lack of documentation. I think Genesis is better at that, enjoy the one click modding experience.
