honestly, I think it's a weirdly good answer to the meaning of life. life has no inherent meaning. we exist because our parents hosed at some point and didn't use protection for one reason or another (whether they wanted a baby or just cocked up and got a surprise), not because of some grand design putting us here for a purpose. what meaning exists in life, comes from what we do with it of our own accord, rather than any inherent quality of it. if you do something cool with your life? congrats, that's the meaning of it. if you don't? that's probably why you're navel-gazing over it in the first place.
