My random guess with the meat thing is that as the Pacifist faction of Nebula, they want to interfere with Earth lifeforms as little as possible, which includes not killing any animals for food.

Just based on general reactions, like the number of comments and ratings on the Crunchyroll videos, it doesn't seem to have a huge amount of viewers. Edit: Just based on a brief skim of the number of ratings on episodes from over a week ago, it's actually one of the lowest watched series of the new season?

I agree that it’s probably just a joke about her assuming that her apparent age is student rather than teacher. Whether that’s going to reflect on the rest of her philosophy in any way remains to be seen. IE: she doesn’t think like an adult, etc. This came up with Takashi too, with Benika’s first reaction to hearing his plans for world domination being “are you a child?!”
