It really is awful, you can hit a button to bring them back into focus but I wish there was something in the settings that just prevented it from happening by default. This is especially bad with BoJack Horseman, where the super indie chic theme song provides dramatic irony after a last-second gut punch, or the rare times they actually change it for what happened in the episode.
