Just chiming in to say that I'm still following along and this is a good thread. Sucks you keep running into a bunch of little things though. It sounds like hell finding a car in pieces and trying to get it back together. But in a sick way it also sounds kinda fun to me to go through each system systematically and fix it to eventually have a running and driving car. The million little parts orders would probably drive me mad, though.

Dunno if this is advice or just a story. We had a chump car Datsun 240z that kept vaporizing fuel on the track after 45 minutes. Eventually replaced the hard line near the hot stuff with a rubber line. No amount of heat shielding did it for that car but having a line that didn't retain as much heat a did the trick for us.

That is cool. When I did this some years back I hacked some stuff out of plywood and 2x4s with a junkyard seat. That was a pretty great setup, this looks much nicer. I threw casters on it and was pretty happy with it. Note the table I hacked wood away with a sawzall so the wheel could mount on it
