So according to the other tenants there was a cat abandoned by its former owners living in my apartment complex. It’s the sweetest orange named Morgan and being the idiot I am, I started feeding it and giving it water. It now constantly waits outside my apartment which is an issue because my dog is an rear end in a top hat that likes to chase cats. I want to give the poor guy a good home but I’m not sure where to start. I’d call the shelter but I’m worried about him getting sent to a kill shelter. Any advice would be appreciated before my heart breaks and I let him into my house leading to my dog and fiancée becoming very unhappy. Here are some pictures. https://imgur.com/gallery/RWbLWoV

Morgan is in my bathroom now because my complex has started rounding up strays and euthing them. Anybody in the DFW area want a really loving cat or know a good shelter? I just picked him tonight so he hasn’t been to the vet but he seems healthy except for some mites in his ear. I got him wet/dry food, a litter box and a couple toys. Am I missing anything?
