I posted earlier tonight about being 30 and having a different perspective on football games, and I think part of it is that I've watched so many pros play against each other in both physical and esports that by this point I pretty much see NFL athletes as just kids playing a physical esport I guess -- they're really extremely good at this particular game but it doesn't inform the rest of who they are or what they are to society like pretty much what I'm saying is that there was some switch between how I saw kids playing video games and these players playing pro football and it got flipped and now I'm having a hard time distinguishing them (wrt physical vs virtual, anyway) grumble ramble
