The Battletech: Battlemech Manual might also be worth mentioning as something to consider rather than Total Warfare. Here's how it diffes from Total Warfare: +Rewords rules for clarity. +Errata corrections. +Took the "advanced" rules players actually use from Tactical Operations (currently out of print), and left out the ones people barely touch. -Cuts out all rules for Vehicles, Infantry.
