For the home video release yeah but for simulcasts they gotta get approval first because the translation would be considered the official translation of the lyrics, and approving that sure is low on the list of priorities on the music side of the business.

Like for real that manga had me up until the point I realized the only trick in its entire arsenal was sexually shaming or assaulting teenagers. Every dramatic point is someone get their sexual history revealed, or is raped. That's it.

You're over simplifying it, and those aren't the only secrets being revealed. It's an interesting take on the death game trope, as there's probably nothing a teenager would dread more than having all their secrets revealed. Sorry you're right, I drew the wrong impression from the manga where the opening few chapters are 1: girl gets sex tape revealed, runs out into traffic and dies 2: guy gets sex tape revealed, stops coming to school 3: girl gets coerced into sex to not get voted to get her secret revealed, gets outed for going along with it and gets slutshamed for it (REAL nice) then gets some pictures she posted revealed. I guess you're right though, something gets revealed about rapist goon but I can't really tell what they're saying he did but you got me. 1 of the first 4 things that happened wasn't a teenager being sexually shamed or assaulted.

I feel it's less about that, and more about the societal breakdowns that happen because of the reveals and the lengths people will go to protect their secrets at all costs. And again teenagers are arseholes and aren't as socially woke as they need to be. If you want to be tilted about it mate, be my guest.
