I recall some smoker replying (on another automotive forum) to someone who once had a still lit cigarette butt from the car in front of him come in through an open window and burn a hole in his passenger seat that it "wouldn't be a problem if you hadn't been following closely enough for that to happen." Say what you will against vapers - at least they don't treat the entire world like their own personal ashtray/trash can.

Yes I know the originals are cad plated, but zinc plating is as easy as reversing the de-rusting electrolysis setup, using the zinc as the anode. Also got an assortment of panel clips, because I never seem to have the right thingy to hold trim and plastic bits on.

If you look at pictures of Elon when he was younger/bald/out of shape his behavior starts to make more sense. He's really just a dweeby guy that wants to be cool at heart. IMO Tesla isn't going anywhere and the second that Toyota makes an EV with the same kind of range for (actually) $30k it's over for them.

They just use my really, really old password (like one I haven't used in 6-7 years) that was clearly revealed on one of those various dumps of data, but that would clearly work on some people. I'm almost impressed.

Driving right through France from bottom to top (and actually going right through the official “centre de la France” on the way too!) has just taken me 16 hours including stops. Are you in France? didn't know there were any goons there! I'll add it up when i'm brave enough to look at my credit card online but I think I spent about €90 to do the 1000kms. I went the scenic route in a number of places to miss some bits too! It would probably have been €120-€130 without this. At one payage it hit me for around €45 in one go.. Lovely roads compared to any of the poo poo in the UK though! I lost my euro credit card first thing in the morning too (I either left it in a machine or its gone deep under the seats in my car), so had to use a UK credit card which is gonna hit me with a conversion charge on top The viamichalin app/website gives a pretty good idea but always seems to be about 25-30% too low as it seems to miss a lot of stuff out (such as the Millau bridge which is about €8)
