I got an SSD for the first time and it's cool to finally be in the future.

Accordion Man posted:Yeah, its pretty much the unsung Metal Gear entry. The game is also technically canon because if you do the post game missions you find out that, its one of Raiden's VR training missions Pretty sure that's only true for the post-game part which is based on the "real" events of the main game. There was probably going to be Ghost Babel 2 which would've continued that particular storyline but it never came to be.

Yeah, I still have those games too, they were a lot of fun in multiplayer. The second one was called Champions: Return to Arms, though I remember liking the first one a bit more.

Gonna be weird to see Conan O'Brien's hair as a Death Stranding character. https://twitter.com/Kojima_Hideo/status/1037966900272160768

The latest addition to the virtual youtuber scene populated pretty exclusively by young anime girls is a middle-aged balding fat guy who may or may not be played by the famous Japanese voice actor Akio Ōtsuka who played Snake in MGS amongst other things. Guy did his first ever stream today playing an ancient Chunsoft SNES sound novel from 1992 and immediately got 10,000 viewers and probably at least a couple hundred subscribers on Twitch, enough to surpass almost every other streamer on the site in view count despite no prior content and only speaking Japanese. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtTttXSleRs What a world we live in.

I don't know virtual youtubers beyond knowing about them, I was just surprised to see a Japanese streamer pop out of nowhere and instantly get 10k viewers on Twitch, only the most popular ones break even 1k most of the time. It (probably) being the voice actor for Snake and the dub voice actor for people like Denzel Washington, Nicolas Cage and Samuel L. Jackson makes him streaming an obscure-rear end 1992 game in the virtual guise of a fat old guy kind of amazing in its own weird way though.

Seems dumb, filters like that are generally so easy to get around that all it'll do is fuel the "SJW censorship" garbage which people'll eat up. Just handing ammo to idiots for little reason if that's all there is to it.

That does suck, but also ranting for several posts about how the whole game should be shut down and everything about it is garbage because of an unlucky first experience almost two full years ago now is "hella silly" as the kids say these days, especially if you follow it with "I don't actually give a gently caress if it's better now" despite that being the origin of the grievance in the first place. Makes one look like they're just rambling at that point. Anyway, my biggest issue with Overwatch is that I always tense up while playing one of the faster heroes and then my neck and shoulders are in pain the next day. Gettin' old I guess.

Sakurazuka posted:DoA is a series that was going going to get banned in Sweden if they didn't remove the official ages. Some say they then made the by far the youngest-looking (and also most popular) character in the series Swedish precisely in response to that, though that might just be a rumor.

The Japanese name for "Bowsette" (クッパ姫) is at the top of twitter's global trending list with over a million tweets right now, completely crushing every other topic. The sheer volume of fanart (and porn) created in the last couple days must be immeasurable, I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it.
