I foolishly thought things wouldn't get any better than the RPM Nationals pics. Congratulations! I wish you'd have let people know earlier about wanting kids. I would have put in an application. I'm even potty trained. And curious about the significance of the c-rats.

There needs to be a handicapping chart for old cars. Each year out of production is worth 1 hp. Each wave is worth .2 seconds on a slalom course Each time a day that looks like it's going to be bad day becomes a good day just because you drove the car to work is worth 10 feet shorter stopping distance. Each missing modern safety feature is worth .02 on the skidpad. The possibilities are endless

One of my favorite new words is mudita; joy at someone else's happiness/good fortune/success. This thread shines with it in every pixel. There are not enough s in the world.

The word for today (and this thread) is the Sanskrit word mudita. It's the feeling of joy at another's happiness or good fortune.

Had a cool old car encounter yesterday, came up behind a 1950s Airstream camper and thought it'd be cool if it was being pulled by an age matching car. Pulled out to pass and it was a 1949 Buick Special Sedanet(?). The driver looked like a bearded Lobsterboy X doppelganger. Both trailer and car looked like unrestored survivors. Not junk in the slightest, but well and carefully used. No pictures, though.
