Wow! Any photographers able to weigh in on this? I'm kind of shocked at how clearly that photo came out by just leaning the camera on his hand - any macro stuff I've tried has been a blurry mess without a full tripod!

Yes gladly, that hood is filled with temporary pym particles and for a moment enlarges the subject to proportions eliminating the need for macro

The flash means the camera can keep exposure time very low. So movement is less of an issue. And don't underestimate the impact of expensive optics.

Schadenfreude literally translates to something like "harm joy", it simply means delight derived from the misfortune of another. Whether the misfortune is deserved or not has no bearing on the meaning of the word, just on how much of an rear end in a top hat you are for feeling it.

I'm convinced most Usanos get told wrong on purpose about schadenfreude/skadeglädje. We've had this derail in the schad thread ten times over, English translations are straight sadism. Schadenfreude is when it's funny when something embarrassing happens to someone else. If you don't feel the freude, it isn't schadenfreude. And some things are simply to much damage to be funny aka wakes to much sympathy to want to laugh at. It's a normal thing to call out the sadists who don't have empathy and are still laughing. It's a name for a feeling and if you don't feel it, then there is no schadenfreude
