That said I remember distinctly when I saw my first Transformers commercial in the 80s and it blew my mind. "Jet can be a robot!" Transformers toys were a mixture of different Japanese toy lines but there wasn't any cartoon or anything like that over there.

I've never watched it but apparently there's a Star Trek porn parody that does a good enough job of just being Star Trek outside of the loving scenes they make versions that have all that stuff cut out and market it is a fan film.
