Synopsis posted:

Set in and around the corridors of power, Bodyguard tells the fictional story of Police Sergeant David Budd (Rob Stark Richard Madden), a heroic but volatile war veteran now working as a Specialist Protection Officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London's Metropolitan Police Service. When he is assigned to protect the ambitious and powerful Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keely Hawes), intent on pushing a new counterterrorism bill through Parliament which would give the security service enhanced surveillance powers, Budd finds himself torn between his duty and beliefs. Responsible for her safety, is he actually her biggest threat?

Bodyguard is a six-part British television drama series, created and written by Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty, Critical) and produced by World Productions for the BBC.

---

Four of the six episodes have already aired with the series to end on September 23rd. I've caught up and it is a pretty decent show which packs a lot into its hour long runtime.

The show had the highest launch figure of any drama debut in the last decade in the UK with 10.4 million viewers.

Yeah the last 10-15mins of the finale were flat.

The rest was good though, I expect netflix to throw some money at the creator soon enough.
