I also feel like most puzzles in non-puzzle videogames are just a bit too simple to be anything mire than a slight diversion To be fair, I wouldn't want to solve super obtuse La-Mulana stuff in a simple Zelda game either.

Those interactions or diversions aren't really intended as puzzles, they're breaks between intense fighting or story scenes, and their purpose is to exercise a different part of the brain while letting the parts that handle the difficult stuff rest. But yes, the fact that picking up a crank 10 feet away from a hole and then using the crank on the hole is the "default" for what a puzzle in a non-puzzle game is, is a misuse of the word at best (and a failure in the state of videogames at worst, but I don't think you need to go that far).

CrossCode is on sale now on PS4/5, but I had no idea that the DLC wasn't out for PS5 yet. so hopefully I can get a refund for the PS5 version and just go backwards to the PS4 one. I can't imagine there's much of a difference between the two versions.

Something has to have gone unbelievably wrong with that PS5 DLC. I'd love to know what, because this isn't the kind of thing that, like. Happens. Anyway the versions are identical except for button icons and 120hz support. No cross-saves though.

Fedule posted:No cross-saves though. Although interesting fact, at least some of the platforms use compatible save files, so if you can actually get the saves between the versions (the hard part), they can work. I transferred my switch save to my steam copy at one point. It's funny what this HTML5/Javascript game can do.
