It's extremely impressive. Never thought about the rest that a guaranteed spot might get you that Cathy mentioned but it makes sense.

Dunstone blanking the 8th was a ballsy move rather than taking one and trying to force in the 9th.

Nichols clocking a few perfect triples (I can't remember if it was 2 or 3) goes a long way. But yea that was a really tough ending to the game, I was sure Dunstone had it in the bag.

Mantioba have only given up 3 stolen points the whole time but they've all been the most devastating possible time to do it.

They tracked it down to some metal embedded in the concrete floor beneath the ice. Exactly what they couldn't say, but it could have been anything from wire loops for some speed skating purpose or even the rebar in the concrete itself.

Yeah... stick a fork in her 'cause she's done at this Scotties. A bit disappointing for them, but sometimes it just isn't your week. They do seem at times less than the sum of their parts, but on the other hand it isn't exactly a competitive advantage to have three quarters of the team with kids under 18 months old.
