A grim bloody fable, with an unhappy bloody end.
Apologies if this has come up in previous threads. My company is just starting to seriously look at Office 365, and one of the major considerations we're looking at right now is retention policy and backups.

Has anybody looked into the smaller, more esoteric apps in Office 365 and how to back up the data? Specifically Microsoft Planner. I was hoping to push it in the organization as an alternative to our lovely on-prem project management software, but it's looking like only a couple small backup players have software that addresses this backup requirement. I was hoping for something from a major vendor, or just something I could whip myself as an automated export, but so far this doesn't seem to be the case.

One of our departments has retention requirements for their projects, and may have the clout to delay/cancel outright our plans to get everyone off the on-prem software.
