tried the Tempest Rising demo, it's... pretty janky. pathing and controls of the units are some pikmin 1 poo poo and the resource harvesters can't figure out how to collect the flower juice or w/e. first demo in a while that's left me with that bad of a taste, I'm def going to hold off when it releases.

Similarly, Dota was originally viewed as just another casual-ish little hero custom that people played like Aeon of Strife, Tides of Blood, Enfos, etc; It became known for being difficult as it got more popular and people took it more seriously. it'll be even worse, because tactical whining and bitching is like 90% of the chatting in that game
