That's kind of like asking if the next Bethesda game will remove fast travel, there's going to be some kind of sector system, either like existing X3 gates/highways or Elite's method of letting you jump to systems within range. Though saying EVE feels small is... odd. Have you never done a run from nullsec to Jita for instance? It's not exactly a quick experience.

I say compromise and wait like a week before buying so you know if the bugs are "carriers maneuver like fighters" bad or if it's "saving your game deletes your Documents folder" bad. a week's not gonna hurt Egosoft's check
