The first couple of Freddy's Nightmares were kinda fun, but holy crap they got tedious fast. I think the best one was the David Schow one, maybe?

The last straw for me wasn't Patty, it was the one before it with the camera guy. He wasn't even dreaming. Freddy attacks people through their dreams. A major point of the series is the fear of dying horribly in your sleep and trying to stave it off as long as possible while figuring out a way to stop him, if he can haunt someone while they're awake and doing things then the whole point of the series is effectively ruined.

Everyone in the show falls asleep in the middle of doing anything if it's convenient for the plot. The doctor fell asleep driving for gently caress's sake. I just got so sick of every interesting thing happening just being a dream, and all the contrivances each episode throws up to have the protagonists die horribly at the end while everyone remains unaware there's a Freddy out there, despite him having no incentive to remain hidden. Freddy had control over me last night apparently because I uncontrollably slept through like 2/3rds of the stream. Oh well. At least I was awake for Metalbeast, the one that was new to me. I've seen bits and pieces of Pumpkinhead 2 but not the whole thing, so it will count in my book. Winter Beast is all new for me.  scream_stream.gif

I've been really enjoying the Scream Stream so far. Even when we're watching a film I've seen before, it's a new experience for me in watching it with a proper group. I wish I knew about it sooner since I would've joined in that much earlier.

I was incredibly sick all weekend long, like pushing 103F, so I just kind of caught stuff when I could (don't have a setup I can watch cytube from bed unfortunately). I think I sat through all of WINTERBEAST, but it might have just been a fever dream. All I know is I woke up the next day with this image on my computer screen:

I think they've been playing Curse of Chucky as well as Cult of Chucky on TV the past few days. Haven't seen them though. Also I've always wanted to see Puppet Master since I saw it at the video store on VHS. I hope I can make it. I might have to blow off my friend who wants to watch Solo.  But I missed the past two weeks of this and I haven't poo poo all over Lurdiak yet.

Curse of Chucky: That was a fun movie. Puppetmaster: Had very little to do with the puppets and too much to do with boring people. Would rather have seen the nazis from the start of the movie get killed than the psychics.

Sometimes They Come Back started with a strong hook but completely fumbled. Night of the Demons 2 was the opposite. Slow burn the first half, then it became amazing. Movie of the Year so far.
