So am I the only one really weirded out by saying they can rebuild the beast kingdom with Claymon's "labor?" As in yeah their leader wronged you, but you can just enslave his kingdom's populace to make up for it. No, we can pay them a fair wage to rebuild, just he has labor that can make this right. For an anime that had a selling point as the ultimate non-toxic workplace this is a bit troubling. I've been a fan for a bit, but this hit me wrong immediately. Think I am still going to prefer the show where the MC unionized a bunch of monster ants against the evil queen ant, even though goons told me it was bad because the MC with an obvious character arc started out lovely.

Judging by Rimuru's past victories they'll probably offer Clayman's army citizenship and absorb them into their own population or set up a puppet leader in Clayman's domain and send them all back there, but when they're telling the other demon lords about the plan they describe it as slave labor because that's the only frame of reference they'd understand and readily accept. The Dungeon of Black Company? Yeah he only 'unionized' the monsters so he could put them to work towards his own schemes and profit off them, same as all his other schemes. He doesn't actually care about anyone else's conditions, he just wants to get back to his comfortable NEET lifestyle.

This is basically what happens. Some very minor spoilers regarding that. I'm drawing from memory so some stuff might be a bit off, but the overarching plot of this stretches from LN7 to as far as LN12. Reason it's minor in spite of the length is due to it being in the back vs the ongoing events of these books and only comes up a few times. Basically, Frey and Carrilion step down as members of the Demon Lord council and fold their domains into Milim's becoming her subordinates along with the Dragon Faithful. They're still the de facto rulers of their domains, but under the umbrella of Milim's rule. Clayman's Territory is far to the North and other than sacking his castles as well as some other stuff that will be explained later, Rimuru has zero interest in adding that to his responsibilities so he just hands it over to Milim as the place was run as totalitarian dictatorship through fear and terror with Clayman as their ruler. There's actually a spanning side-plot about the workers in that Geld is the one in charge of overseeing the construction of the new capital since Rimuru explicitly told him not to use the work force of the scattered orcs since he didn't want him to start favoring his own people over others in terms of job opportunities as it heavily goes against his desire to build a country where everyone is equal especially in terms of life opportunities. The workers are given wages and training in various fields, standard living conditions equal to the regular working populace, as well as having their rights as people observed, and once their sentence is over(completion of the new capital), they're offered to citizenship or offered to migrate back to Jistav or stay in Tempest or the new capital as well as be paid their wages. Initially things go poorly since Geld uses telepathy to communicate with his Orc workers, but can't now as well as a general disinterest by the workers to complete the job thinking they'll executed once it's done which Rimuru tells them is not the case and explains the above mentioned stuff to them at which point things begin to smooth out This is what I can basically scrape off on this from memory at the moment.

I wouldn't expect DEMON LORD Rimuru who committed literal war crimes to gain his power to have anything against slavery. Remember he's also tortured and mutilated an enemy POW and is currently in the process of having a demon incite a civil war in a neighboring kingdom. Dictator for life Rimuru is extremely brutal to anyone he sees as wronging him. Nitrousoxide fucked around with this message at 12:10 on Sep 15, 2021 |

In the context of the series, it's basically a title bestowed upon any sufficiently powerful "monster" who leads his country. There's the whole Awakened Demon Lord thing, but I don't feel like going into that one right now, but yeah it's essentially a title that any sufficiently powerful monster leader can have.

I think you'll find that Rimuru's only real crime is thoughtlessly delegating responsibility to his secretaries. Really loved Shion asking if it was ok to attack Clayman while Clayman's blood dripped from her fists last episode though.

I just wanted to say I had trepidation going into this episode because last week’s was such a turd, I thought maybe me liking this season might’ve been me stretching to find something redeeming. But no, this week was terrific and managed to nail the vibe from start to finish.

I'll say the last 3 or so episodes saved what would have been an abysmal season for me. I might read the LN.

Pacing is definitely the weakest point of the anime. Which doesn't make much sense since they could have folded Diaries and the other side mangas into the series proper from the start. B plots where 3 "spies" fart around or a bunny girl reviews things would have been a much better way to stretch things out.

Volume 13 of the light novel came out and Rimuru is basically a god now. Tempest as a group is so stupidly overpowered it's insane and it looks like Rimuru has enough souls to turn seven of his buddies into true demon lords.

New Interview with author FUSE from a German magazine. https://www.manga2you.de/news/23905/tensura-interview-mit-fuse/ Important things from interview. Character he'd want to hang out with most and doing what? Date with Hinata. Shuna or Shion? Shuna as Shion would be too exhausting. If he got reincarnated what would he pick? Would pick being spaceship with sentient AI(Outlaw Star basically). Did you expect series to explode like it did? No.
