This episode was a rollercoaster of emotions. But so drat good! I kinda want to read the manga/novels. But at the same time, having a comfy and fun show to watch every monday isn't bad either.

I think the Shizu thing really works. And having her show up in a lot of marketing stuff and the ending really cemented her as a big deal. Which makes her faith all the more shocking, but gives it a good amount of weight. Having this form show up in the opening, was unavoidable. And having Rimuru's human form in it, can serve as a nice hook for new viewers. They also prominently display those Oni characters. And I'm hyped as hell for their introduction.

I love how Rimuru supplies his healing potions now. *splat* all better! These ogres are cool! And I love how Rimuru just sits back nodding while they realize how hosed they would be if the fight would go on.

I love how you can see Shion and the others getting more feral when they get serious. Man Gabiru is a cool guy. Holy poo poo! Rimiru is now also good friends with his sage buddy. Holy poo poo! It's an eat or be eaten fight! Holy poo poo! the music that plays during this part is awesome Oh goddamnit! Don't make me start feeling poo poo for Geld now! You better save those other orcs Rimiru! Hell yeah! I expected nothing less of you! New ending is amazing Man what a fantastic episode. Hit all the right notes!

So this butt demon is one of the runaway characters of this series right? I mean I like her attitude and it's interesting to introduce a more powerful character this way, because this is clearly one of those fights he can't flat out win by overpowering her. Girl needs some pants though. This was kinda awkward at times. Also sad to see the lizard girls downgrade like that. But having a team of ninja's is a loving cool addition, so it evens out.

It's fine every now and then. If giving the animators some room to play, it prevents it from slipping into every episode. I just wish they didn't use the character who looks and act like a little child for it.

I honestly feel they are probably speeding through some initial stuff and things will slow down. The beginning kinda felt like the author was testing the waters and seeing what works. Now that the Orc Lord has been dealt with, some new antagonists have been build up. Things are at a point where I feel the series can really start now. It seems that they can easily fill in the gaps with some OVA's maybe shuffle some stuff around. I like this new direction. Rimiru better save these kids!

Weird end. As someone unfamiliar with the source material, even I could tell that things really rushed after the Orc Lord arc. Which is a shame but gives me a reason to check out the novel/manga I guess. All in all, I still like it even if it didn't nail the landing completely. That song during the recap was really pretty.
